The EVA700 connects your TV or home entertainment system to your home computer network, streaming digital movies, videos, music, radio and photos from your PC. It can also access thousands of digital files stored in your NETGEAR Storage Central (SC101) device. You can play streaming media content, such as music and video from the Internet, by connecting to your home network and router. You can even play files saved on a USB storage device such as an iPOD™, USB thumb drive, USB disk, and some digital cameras with a USB interface by connecting to the front USB port of the Digital Entertainer.Intel Viiv™ ready
The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer is Intel® Viiv verified, so you can take advantage of Intel’s new platform for digital entertainment. The Digital Entertainer EVA700 supports seamless access to content, applications and services available on Intel Viiv technology-enabled PCs. It also supports access to content on Microsoft® Windows® Media Center PCs through Windows Media Connect, and other universal plug-and-play (UPnP AV) media servers, such as TwonkyVision. Use the wired ethernet port to connect the EVA700 directly to your wired home network, or add the optional Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter Kit (HDXB101) for high quality video and maximum streaming speeds across multiple rooms.Easy on-screen selection
The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer enables easy, remote control access to digital media files on your home network, as well as from popular Internet sites without leaving your couch. When combined with NETGEAR’s Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter (HDXB101 two-in-one kit and HDX101 standalone, both sold separately), you can use the Digital Entertainer EVA700 in any room of your home, regardless of where your computer is located. You’ll enjoy excellent quality and stable, consistent video streaming.
The EVA700 uses a PC or laptop such as Intel Viiv PC, to connect to your network by wireless g router, such as RangeMax WPN824Storage Central (SC101), provides your network with extensive file storage capacity. RCA, S-Video, Digital Coaxial/SPDIFaudio, and HD component video outputs connect to your existing TV and stereo systems.
The wired Ethernet Port connects directly to your wired network or to an optional Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter (HDX101)for maximum streaming speeds. Connecting to the powerIR Remote Control lets you browse, program, and playback media from your couch. Enjoy USB 2.0 mass storage connectivity to iPod, flash stick, USB Disk Drive, or some digital cameras.
