Setting up Windows Media Player
Open Windows Media Player on your PC or laptop that is connected to your network. The following screen displays. Select the Library tab to bring up the menu options and scroll down to Media Sharing.

The Media Sharing screen displays.

Make sure the Share my media radio box is checked, and click OK.

You will see all the Media (UPnP AV) devices such as the NETGEAR EVA2000 (Digital Entertainer Live or DE Live). Right-click on EVA2000 and select Allow from the pop-up menu. EVA2000 will now show that it is available by displaying a green checkmark.

If you have multiple DE Live units, you must enable each one by first right-clicking on the EVA2000 icon and then selecting Allow. You may also want to differentiate each DE Live unit by selecting Properties from the pop-up menu.

The Mac address of the DE Live unit is shown on the Device Properties menu. The Mac address is unique for each unit and is included on the label at the bottom of your unit. However, if you have the EVAW111 wireless adapter connected to the DE Live unit, the Mac address of the wireless adapter may display instead.

To complete Windows Media Sharing setup, click OK. Your PC or laptop will now be shown on DE Live as :Media or :Media; for example, it might be Home:Media or George:Media.
