I figure this entry should have a quick statement of what I expect to accomplish...NOTHING. My EVA8000 helps me get MORE out of my TV!!! I plan on wasting a TON of time playing with my EVA and posting to MDE forums and blogs and articles.

This thing is the perfect item for tech savvy, web addicts who can't get enough on their PC so we need to spread the web to our entertainment systems. WORKS FOR ME!!!

My plan for the next few weeks is work through every feature I can on my EVA8000 and post tips, links, and humorous experiences.

So far I have streamed content from my laptop (YouTube, Flickr, etc), watched recorded video on a USB hard drive, and messed around with RSS feeds. Of these, I think the RSS feeds offer the most unique option for retrieving content for the box. I've added a few feeds (text, audio, and video) - unfortunately the video feeds are a bit tempermental. Of the 30 or so I added, only 4 worked well - most of the failures were from dead feeds or incompatible file types. I will add hot links to my blog as I find them.

After 8 years of developing web content for friends and family (side jobs) I am FINALLY setting up my own web presence so stay tuned kids there's more to come aftter these words from our sponsors -
