Does either EVA model play nice with Slingbox? Would there be any benefits in doing so?

Seems like unnecessary hoops to jump though.  Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't you be going from your hard drive to your MDE to your slingbox through the network to your digital device (like a laptop or smartphone).  Wouldn't it be more effective / efficient to just copy the AVI you're watching to your mobile device directly?

I am sure you know that the  feed is slingable. Has anyone checked to see if there are remote codes available?

If not, maybe we can create a Bin file for it.

I'm still focused on the "does it make sense?" question.

I would love to sling my music or videos from an EVA to my hotel room, when out of town.
Never know what I might be in the mood for, so being able to do this let's me decide from everything I have. Plus no time wasted downloading something, to my laptop or axim, I may or may not want to watch later.

They aren't. I need this right now too. The EVA-8000 will be in good shape if it comes even close to the competent performance by Sling.

Just looking through some of these postings, it appears that Netgear would rather just tell customers what they want.

Netgear has a long way to go.
