I have a large library of photos 100'000+ and every time I attempt to access them with the digital entertainer, the system appears to freeze (pretty blue screen no text).

Does any body else have this problem?  Is there a fix?

Is there anybody out there.............

Doesn't someone have some advice.

Is the EVA8000 hardware the limiting factor? or is there a software fix, or a trick about how to organise files?

What firmware version are you running (if still on the original 1.2.20 firmware, try updating to the latest 2.0.159)? Have you tried just letting it sit for a while (quite a while with the amount of photos your talking about)? It may just be trying to build the thumbnail files (does this the first time you access the files) and you are just not waiting long enough.

Thank you for responding to my plea.

Unfortunately I am on the new software and have even left it sitting overnight twice.

Well you have quite a large amount of photos and most likely that may be causing the issue (EVA is running out of memory when it's trying to load the library). How do you have them organized? Are they split into different directories? All in one directory? Have you tried with just a small amount of photos first then adding more? What is the size of the library.txt file in the EVADATA share?
