Hi,

New to the EVA (and you lot). Apart from the documentation and the fiddle of a setup, very impressed the system - ripping my CDs like BillyO.  I've got a Wireless router and connect to it O.K. but the YouTube rendition on the TV (not HD) is a bit "blocky" so I thought I'd try hard wiring the EVA to the router. Problem: it doesn't seem to use it. In the manual Netgear suggest doing this to enhance video stream. Can anyone tell me how I get it to use it?

You have to go in to the administration tools and specifically tell it to use "wireless" instead of "wired". I still don't think it will help the YouTube vids, though. YouTube stores video in very low resolution to begin with.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Tommy but, as you suggested, not much improvement. It does improve the quality of audio file play back though. The wireless aspect of this system seems pretty redundant really.
