Hi,

I ripped video from MiniDV with Pinnacle Studio and can play them with Media Player. However, the EVA 8000 will find the file but not play it.  Seems the file is loaded in the EVA and can see the bar but there  is no picture and only sound four 2-3 seconds. 

 I loaded the Media Info and it seems that the format is : 

AVI OpenDML,  2.7 GiB, first video stream is 28.8 MPBS , 720 * 576 at 25'000 fps, 

Could anyone help ?

I'm not sure if OpenDML is supported, here's the currently supported formats from the support site:

Container Formats - AVI, DivX, Xvid WMV, MOV, M4V, VOB, MPG, MP1, MP2, MP4, ISO, IFO, MKV, TS, M2TS
Video CODECs - MP1/2/4, Xvid, VC-1/WMV-9, H.264, FLV, OpenDivX all to 1080p
Audio Formats - MP1/2/3, WMA, WMA-Pro, AAC, AC3, FLAC, AIFF, WAV, PCM, DTS passthrough
Photo Formats JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG
Tag Formats ID3 v1, ID3 v2, WMA, WMV, AVI, DivX, Xvid, FLAC, EXIF, MOV, M4A, M4P, M4V

Although it says AVI, that is only a container and can have almost any codec in it. The first thing to do is run the file through MediaInfo again then change the output to text and post that output here. The most likely issues are either the codec is not supported and you will need to output to a different one or the bitrate is too high.

The bitrate is way too high for the EVA. It needs to be 16Mbps or under for it to play smoothly and without issues.
