I've got this set up and it works great. No different than having a UPNP server on your PC (or ReadyNAS :-) ), it just shows up under Home Network as another server. Couldn't be easier to set up, and since you also see it as a network drive you can easily copy media to it across the network.
I wanted to let everyone know that the EVA2000 and WNDR3700 are designed to work together, with the ReadyDLNA server.
Basically, all you have to do is connect a USB external drive to the WNDR3700 router and power cycle the system. Then, when you boot up your EVA2000, the ReadyDLNA drive will show up in your list of shared network devices seamlessly.
This is a great way to extend your network stored media even further and take advantage of the powerful WNDR3700.
Has anyone set this up in their own homes? What kind of experiences are you having?

I also have the WNDR3700 with an EVA2000 in my home network. They do complement each other with excellence. One thing I have done (although not actually supported or approved by Netgear) is put a simple *USB 2.0 Hub on my WNDR3700's USB Port and run two USB Hard Drives off the single port. In fact, I have had the two USB Hard drives connected and working and still plugged in a USB Thumb Drive , all at the same time. Once again, this is not something supported or approved by Netgear, but it works for me. My whole MEDIA library is available now thru the readyDNLA server. (YMMV)
*(Small inexpensive hub, kind you woulg buy to carry with a Notebook/Netbook computer. Recommend one that can have additional power added to the hub thru small AC transformer, although my setup will work without one, I use it anyway for best efficiency)
Recently I bought a EVA2000 and was disappointed with its poor performance. I also have a WNDR3700 with DLNA enabled and EVA2000 worked fine with most SD contents.
So I upgraded to EVA9150 yesterday. (specially for HD playback)
I'm really worried wndr3700 ReadyDlna function does not work with EVA9150, however EVA9150 works correctly with PlayON and Windows Media 12 DLNA servers.
Why these two products are incompatible (Netgear's best home gateway and their best media player) :D
You're correct that the EVA9150 doesn't support the ReadyDLNA ofthe WNDR3700. There are a couple of reasons for this:
- The UPNP support in the EVA9150 was an added feature after the product was shipped, and is definitely not the main way for the EVA to access media. (It uses SMB or NFS to access shared media.)
- The UPNP client in the EVA is an older generation than the UPNP server (ReadyDLNA) on the WNDR3700, and the two are not compatible.
