If you're on a Mac and own a Digital Entertainer, you should DEFINITELY try RipIt.

I picked it up as part of the recent MacHeist (which is over now) but it is worth the price as a standalone app (20 bucks)

It will create full DVD backups that are playable directly via Mac's DVD player and also streamable by the EVA9100 and EVA9150. You do have to navigate into the folder and find the IFO file, but it works perfectly.

It will also create compressed MP4 files which also play perfectly.

I love MacHeist! Thanks for the post!

Yep, I've been a longtime customer of MacHeist. I was hesitant on this most recent version, but they came out with a bunch of surprises (Tweetie and some other additional apps) that really sweetened the deal.

Yes, but will it allow you to rip to ISO and tag the file?

No, I don't think it will do that. It places your backup into a ".dvdmedia" file, which is a nice little package that is easily readable by Macs. You can uncheck that option and it will backup into standard VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS folders, though.
