Some examples would be if you needed to combine a series of television shows into a longer "movie" or perhaps string together a series of home movies into one larger file.</p>

Video formats and tagging

I have ripped some DVDs to HD, and they are stored as Audi_TS and Video_TS directories. I want to Tag these, and I'd also like to store them as just one file instead of multiple files in these 2 folders. I want to preserve the DVD structure/menus/subtitles, and the quality of the movies. I've tried converting to ISO, and the Tag tool doesn't default to this, you have to manually change it, so it finds these files, and it appears to work. But is there a better format that is more compatible with the Tag tool?

Can EVA8000 Play iTunes Movies/Programs?

Hi people, I understand iTunes needs to be installed on the PC/Server to allow the EVA8000 to play iTunes audio/music. I don`t have iTunes installed yet, but before I install it and waste my time, my question is this - If iTunes is installed, would the EVA8000 then also be able to play the iTunes/Quicktime Movies/Podcasts and TV Shows? Or would it only be able to play audio files? Thanks. Neil.

Bittorrent Questions

I recently bought a NAS DUO to supplement my EVA8000. I was never able to get the Bittorrent videos to work properly and I thought this might help. I still can't get the Bittorrent downloads to work. When they are downloaded to the DUO the EVA can &quot;see&quot; them as they show up during the scan. After the scan is complete however they do not show up on the list of videos that can be played. In a related issue I have not been able to determine when you would be able to &quot;liscence&quot; the video file. If you download a bittorrent file to the computer and watch it on the computer you will be prompted to liscence the video to watch on the computer. If you download the file to the DUO to stream to the EVA and watch on TV when will you be prompted to liscence the file? Anyone who has worked through these issues please help! (especially if you have the same setup)

NETGEAR EVA8000 and ReadyNAS Duo as a Video Jukebox

Many of you will have your own treasure trove. Others will have HUGE collections. If you've always wanted an easier way to view your library, read on, movie lover! You may already know that the NETGEAR EVA8000, also known as the Digital Entertainer HD , can stream digital media files such as audio, video, and photos over your home network to your television and audio system. If you're new to the EVA8000, you can click here for more information on how to get started with it. But... Did You Know Your EVA 8000 Could Do This? But, did you also know that the EVA8000 has the ability to play ISO and IFO files? This will give you the ability to watch media in this format through your television, all the while preserving the original menu structure of the movie. Introducing... the ReadyNAS Duo There's one more question, though, before we clue you in how this works. There's strong evidence out there that a lot of people aren't properly backing up their libraries of digital media. Are you one of them? If you haven't got a solution for backing up what's...

Cannot view Puchased WMV Media on the EVA 8000

I cannot view puchased full owned WMV Media (VOD) on the EVA 8000. Even after I full scan my PC, the WMV file will not show on the list of videos. I guess the encryption of the file that allows it to play on the WMP 11.0 is not active on the EVA 8000, or else it is because the files are too big. Is there a work around?
