Have you ever adjusted the picture controls on your TV? If you haven't, then you need to know that their current settings are most likely NOT intended for home use. In fact, most TVs are usually setup for viewing on a showroom floor when shoppers are looking for the brightest set that money can buy. Manufacturers have to assume that every TV leaving their factory has an equal chance of ending up on a sales floor. If the TVs were properly setup, they would look dull and muted compared to the inflated settings of other TVs. Advanced TV users know that showroom settings do not provide captivating images, with proper color and depth. One big problem with TVs that are too bright is that they can be damaging to your eyes if viewed at night. If you often find it fatiguing to watch television at night or often get headaches when doing so, then your television is too bright. Proper calibration should reduce or eliminate these conditions. If you sit a good distance from a smaller display you may want to consider adding a backlight behind your TV. The human eye does not adjust for the...

Now that HBO is putting content online , I'm curious... Do you HBO? To what do you subscribe beyond basic stations? I have a pretty basic DirecTV package myself, with no extra paid programming like HBO, Showtime or Cinemax. What about you?

<img align="right" hspace="10" src="http://www.mydigitalentertainer.com/imagelib/contentitem/10193/10193.jpg">All you Futurama fans: have I got a treat for you! Have you been missing the gang as much as I have? Well, it seems Fox's exec's may have seen the error of their ways. Does this mean Futurama may be back? We can only hope! While no one knows yet if the series'll return, at least we'll be getting our fix while we hang around and speculate about the fate of the show. As some of you probably know there's a full-length DVD coming out this fall. But who wants to wait to see the whole thing when you can catch a teaser now? Check out this two minute clip from the upcoming Futurama movie as Bender scores big...

DLP Projectors

Anyone here have a projector? We have a huge DLP that would be safer in our bedroom (where people don&#39;t practice TKD), and thought a projection system might suit our family better. We&#39;ve been looking at a few different models, and the Optima projectors seem to have the best image quality + feature set for the price. If you&#39;ve had any experience with any of the consumer-grade digital projectors (I&#39;m not brand-centric so I really do mean &quot;any&quot;), your comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

What's your favorite TV show?

You know you&#39;re getting old when you start making comments like &quot;600 channels and nothing to watch&quot;. That&#39;s totally me anymore. My old-fashioned tastes center around the SciFi channel (check out the SciFi TV blog on SlingCommunity ) and misc other dramas (like Close to Home and Everwood, which recently ended). So, what would I cite specifically as &quot;favorites&quot;?... The whole Stargate franchise, Battlestar Galactica, The 4400... Maybe a few others. What about you? Favorite shows?
