RipIt for Mac and Digital Entertainer

If you're on a Mac and own a Digital Entertainer, you should DEFINITELY try RipIt. http://thelittleappfactory.com/ripit/ I picked it up as part of the recent MacHeist (which is over now) but it is worth the price as a standalone app (20 bucks) It will create full DVD backups that are playable directly via Mac's DVD player and also streamable by the EVA9100 and EVA9150. You do have to navigate into the folder and find the IFO file, but it works perfectly. It will also create compressed MP4 files which also play perfectly.

Hello, I have a problem with eva 2000. I tried to configure windows media player 11 as written in the instructions, but when it try to search for the netgear, nothing happens. Simply, Win media player doesn't see it. And so, also the eva 2000 doesn't see the pc. I have Win xp, with antivirus and firewall disabled. Is there anything that I have to do on the eva 200 or in the xp, before to start the described procedure? I try all this via wireless, because I also have the key attached to eva 2000. This last works, because I can see the youtube video.... Thanks to everyone can help me.... Marco

Netgear EVA 2000 HDTV sound issues

Hi guys, hope someone can help with this frankly rather irritating problem! Basically my EVA 2000 just arrived so I connected it to my tv via hdmi, connected my usb drive (1TB, 700 mb free)to it and everything started up ace. I browsed my usb drive, found an 8 min long video and watched it. Worked perfecly! However, everything I have watched since doesn't work so good. The sound basically jumps and starts, and for every five seconds of video (that plays seamlessly) I only get a split second of sound. Do I just need to update the firmware? This could unfortunately be an issue as I'm connecting to the net via a 3g modem, therefore the eva 2000 won't be able to connect. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, I am new to this site and not yet a Net Gear user. I just moved into an older house and want to be able to drive all of my TV's from a central system and need some help figuring out what to do. This is what I would like to do: - Have access to all stored media at multiple points in my house (my ripped movie collection, Itunes, Satellite boxes) - Be able to stream live satellite signal to any or multiple tvs at the same time. - Have a wireless network extended to different areas of the house. This is what I have to connect: - 2 TVs (may add up to 4 more in the basement for sporting events) - 1 HD Projector - 1 PS3 - 2 USB external drives (one hooked up to the PS3 and 1 for computer use) - 1 Apple Time Capsule (wireless N portal) - 1 Telus wireless router (I just plug the time capsule into this and use it for wireless, but it has wireless capabilities as well, but it is slower than the time capsule) Any help would sure be appreciated.
I picked up both yesterday. Last night I set it up and used netflix. It stopped working when I tried to rewind about 40 mins into the show. Then I restarted and again watched about 40 mins and things froze up. Since then I cannot get any media server software (WMP or Playon) to work. Playon says not found when starting. WMP sees the EVA2000 but it does not see WMP. I worked with Playon and they said their software is working, talk to netgear. I have tried rebooting my router, the computer the EVA2000. I can't seem to find any issues that would cause it not to work. Firewall is off, antivirus is off...any suggestions? Tanya

When i search a movie, for instance Couple Retreat, it comes back "No Matches Found". But when i search the exact same thing on their website it pops up just fine. Can anyone tell me why the search through my EVA2000 doesn't match the search on their website? Id greatly appreciate the help. -TC

Hello all I have updated my EVA9150 to the latest Beat FW (2.5.28) and have a strange problem. In the Music Cover Art view I am seeing one coverart for every song in my library instead of them being grouped into albums as it was in the latest stable FW (2.4.68). I opened my EVA9150 library file in Wordpad and noticed that all through the file the entries for Album and Artist were all transposed. I have enclosed an example of this below: 1|WPUB:iTunes/Bon Jovi/Crossroad - The Best of Bon Jovi|TFNM:01 Livin On a Prayer.m4a|***1:Crossroad - The Best of Bon Jovi|TALB:Livin On a Prayer|TCON:Rock|TPE2:Bon Jovi|TYER:1994|TRCK:1|LMOD:1265803692 1|WPUB:*|TFNM:02 Keep the Faith.m4a|***1:Crossroad - The Best of Bon Jovi|TALB:Keep the Faith|TCON:Rock|TPE2:Bon Jovi|TYER:1994|TRCK:2|LMOD:1265803694 As you can see the ***1 and TALB entried are transposed. This is the same throughout the library file. I have checked the Metadata of my files in the following and all have shown the Metadata to be correct: Windows 7 Files Properties MP3Tag MediaInfo iTunes 9 Firefly iTunes Server on ReadyNas Duo Windows 7 WMP Windows 7 WMC Has anybody else seen this issue? I know I managed to see them once, about a week ago, but since then they have dissappeared from the EVA2000, even though they are still in the Media Player Library. I have resest the EVA2000 to factory settings and turned both it and the computer on and off several times, but still no joy. Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

I'm posting this thread for anyone that might have had a similar hard drive issue. My issue revolved around having purchased a 2000Gb hard drive only to later discover that it was not "qualified" as per tech support. Not being one to give up quite so easily; I embarked on a "Why Not" quest to discover why my 2000Gb would not perform correctly. The following text is a cut and paste of an email as sent to tech support. It is, I think pretty self explanatory. But if there are questions, please feel free to comment. _____________________________________________________________________________ This is to follow up in regard to the hard drive incompatibility issue as previously conveyed to you in detail. I am pleased to report that the 2Tb drive is now fully functional on EVA. This is not to say that the 2Tb hard drive should be considered as a “Netgear qualified hard drive ” or even a hard drive that has been found to be EVA compatible. The fact of the matter is that the 2Tb hard drive is now compatible only because a way was found to circumvent an obvious EVA firmware glitch . To briefly explain; · The 2Tb hard...
