I have ripped some DVDs to HD, and they are stored as Audi_TS and Video_TS directories. I want to Tag these, and I'd also like to store them as just one file instead of multiple files in these 2 folders. I want to preserve the DVD structure/menus/subtitles, and the quality of the movies. I've tried converting to ISO, and the Tag tool doesn't default to this, you have to manually change it, so it finds these files, and it appears to work. But is there a better format that is more compatible with the Tag tool?

Can EVA8000 Play iTunes Movies/Programs?

Hi people, I understand iTunes needs to be installed on the PC/Server to allow the EVA8000 to play iTunes audio/music. I don`t have iTunes installed yet, but before I install it and waste my time, my question is this - If iTunes is installed, would the EVA8000 then also be able to play the iTunes/Quicktime Movies/Podcasts and TV Shows? Or would it only be able to play audio files? Thanks. Neil.

Bittorrent Questions

I recently bought a NAS DUO to supplement my EVA8000. I was never able to get the Bittorrent videos to work properly and I thought this might help. I still can't get the Bittorrent downloads to work. When they are downloaded to the DUO the EVA can "see" them as they show up during the scan. After the scan is complete however they do not show up on the list of videos that can be played. In a related issue I have not been able to determine when you would be able to "liscence" the video file. If you download a bittorrent file to the computer and watch it on the computer you will be prompted to liscence the video to watch on the computer. If you download the file to the DUO to stream to the EVA and watch on TV when will you be prompted to liscence the file? Anyone who has worked through these issues please help! (especially if you have the same setup)

Anyone try to download and view Movie Link rental content with the EVA8000? The files are WMF format so are viewable on Windows Media Player but don't seem to get recognized by the EV Software. Movie Link sends some licensing along with the content I think. Thanks!

I built my own PC and have a PNY GEFORCE 7300gs 256mb video card. I am connecting my PC to the Netgear eva8000 via cat 5 cabling. I backup all my dvd movies onto my 500mb Seagate hard drive. I just bought a Samsung FPT5084 50in full 1080P plasma tv. Here is my question. How can I get my movies to stream through my Netgear eva8000 to my tv so I can view the video in full 1080P format?

I cannot view puchased full owned WMV Media (VOD) on the EVA 8000. Even after I full scan my PC, the WMV file will not show on the list of videos. I guess the encryption of the file that allows it to play on the WMP 11.0 is not active on the EVA 8000, or else it is because the files are too big. Is there a work around?

Here are some of my favorites: Halo 3 Trailer - Mini Movie in 720p Jake Shimabukuro - Ukulele God, Unbelievable! Ironman Trailer Harold and Kumar 2 - Hilarious When you get to the screen with the videos, click on the "download arrow" instead of the play button and save it to an EVA share. Post if you find some other cool vids.

You might also have the problem that the music on your computer is a mess. Programs like WMP or iTunes are not capable to identify the music and sort it into categories. I am looking for a solution (a program, a mod or a add-on) which scans my computer for music, erases duplicates, adjusts volume, categorizes in genres & quality, adds missing titles and artist names. I don’t want to spend a year doing it on my own. Looking forward to your help!

I have connected and the EVA700 finds my music, video, and pictures on both my laptop(Windows Vista) and desktop (windows XP/No Viiv). However, when I go to Media Center on my Laptop (vista), there is an option for an "extender", but I can't set up the Eva700 as an extender, and the manual is no help. Any assistance in this matter would be appreciated. Happy D.
