How to receive 1080P

I built my own PC and have a PNY GEFORCE 7300gs 256mb video card. I am connecting my PC to the Netgear eva8000 via cat 5 cabling. I backup all my dvd movies onto my 500mb Seagate hard drive. I just bought a Samsung FPT5084 50in full 1080P plasma tv. Here is my question. How can I get my movies to stream through my Netgear eva8000 to my tv so I can view the video in full 1080P format?

Recommendation for a good MKV player?

Is there a reliable codec I can download somewhere for WMP? Do I need a dedicated player? If so, is there one anyone would recommend? Are people fairly partial to MKV? It's a fairly new format (high-def-focused), no?

Stage6 HD Vids

Anybody else downloading the videos from the Stage6 video site? They have a bunch of great HD content that all play on my EVA8000 and look awesome on my 50" Sony SXRD. Here are some of my favorites: Halo 3 Trailer - Mini Movie in 720p Jake Shimabukuro - Ukulele God, Unbelievable! Ironman Trailer Harold and Kumar 2 - Hilarious When you get to the screen with the videos, click on the "download arrow" instead of the play button and save it to an EVA share. Post if you find some other cool vids.
