Need assistance in understanding the stracture of the rss file that holds the internet channel/news/RSS. Thought this was an XML file!!! I have never seen an XML like this, there is no NODE stracture ! Here is a sample, I am on the beta firmware: "MY.NETGEARCONTENT.COM" " http://my.netgearcontent.com/?q=taxonomy/term/21/0/feed" 0 "VIDEO National Geographic: Wild Chronicles" " http://podcast.nationalgeographic.com/wild-chronicles/" 1 "VIDEO CBS Face the Nation" " http://www.cbsnews.com/common/includes/podcast/podcast_nation_video_1.rss" 1 "AUDIO CNN News Update" " http://rss.cnn.com/services/podcasting/newscast/rss.xml" 2 "AUDIO From The Pages of The Post" " http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/mmedia/postpodcast.xml" 2 Guess the content is just flat text, but then what do those numbers mean at the end of the line ?
The video listing shows content from the device which was already disconnected ?

This is my scenario. After connecting storage A which has videos & pics ..on my EVA, I see a list of these & evrything plays fine. Then i remove storage A & then connect Storage B..which has some of the videos similar to A, & my mp3. After turning on my EVA it does a scan & reads all the content from this storage B. Now here is the issue. When i list out the videos section ..i see all my Storage B content & also everything which was present from my Storage A as well. For some reason it did not remove the Storage A content even when that device was not connected. All the content from Storage B plays fine ..but when i select any of the older content (storage A) which i can still see, it gives an media error saying its not available. How can i keeping this listing current ? I tried going into the supervisor & manual did a scan ..but it still shows the content from device which is not connected.

Hi Gurus, I have a good collection of mp4 videos. All these videos have been created on a Apple Mac platform & i believe (not sure) that they are in a avc1 format within the mp4 category. I have been researching the EVA8000HD box in order to play this collection of mine & want to make sure if this format will be supported before i go ahead & buy this. Would greatly appreciate if anyone on this forum can enlighten me on this ........ Thanks,

I still have :20 seconds or more delay between .mp3 songs when playing either songs from an album, or, forbid shuffling songs. Also, though gone since a complete reset was a play for about 3 mins then stop playing entirely whether it was on internet radio or .mp3. Speaking of Internet Radio it has more than once completely wiped out my radio list and it's associated .xml file. What else, or it does not give me accurate reads anymore from the "Test Network Connection" I have use two indentical NAS and each one reads 1 mbps it used to read as much as 34 mbps. Swapped NAS to make sure it wasn't the NAS and tested the LAN connection going in and it reads 100 mbps, so it's the EVA. I tried both the "Reset to defaults" option and reflashing and still no luck with :20 second pauses between .mp3 song plays. I even swapped out my NAS with an identical one just to make sure it wasn't NAS related and still :20 second pauses. I've seen written a recovery tool that was mentioned in a previous post, am I at that stage? This is the second EVA that has...

I am a newbie and doing my research to have AV in my home so please excuse me if my conculsions below are incorrect, all advice and corrections welcome. The EVO seems to be what I need. However, I only need a single source, multizoned AV setup. Ie, a single Evo i can switch the output to different audio and video zones using an HDMI splitter and multizoning Amp. The problem I see is the basic remote control. What I need is a wireless remote with a screen which can browse the AV library so i don’t have to be in the same room as the Evo and TV. The EVO is trying to sell a solution for both Video and Audio, Great....because some of my zones won’t have need for a TV...for me the Pool , BBQ, and chill out areas. But is the Evo really achieving this? The 'old school' remote means to change song, movie, pause (anything!) I need an Evo for every zone AND a TV to make my selections. Expensive for a room with just music. And why I ask...do I need an evo in Zone X when I have an Evo sitting idle in...

After a longish session (4 hours) of browsing and playing YouTube content the system fell over and will not now power up. I have gone thorugh the reset procedure in the manual, Completely disconnected the power and left it for a couple of hours but no change. The system has fallen over on previous YouTude expeditions but on these occasions it powered up again. Is there a memory problem with the EVA8000? I have got PC World to agree to swap it out but I would like to know how to fix this issue or if anyone else has encountered it? Thanks John
