Discrete power IR codes for the EVA8000

By brute force (and a Phillips Pronto TSU9600), I've discovered a "discrete ON" for the EVA8000 power. The Pronto hex sequence is:
5000 0000 0000 0001 0017 0027
But I could NOT fins a discrete OFF!! The power toggle is
5000 0000 0000 0001 0017 0043
I can probably get by with a code that sets power to a known state, and one that toggles it from there, but a real off would be nice. Do any Netcom engineers monitor these threads? Ron

So, has anyone tried to create a JP1 remote file for the EVA? Only thing I can find on the web right now that even remotely (no pun intended) that addresses this is here.

What's with the extreme rewind?

When I fast forward with my EVA8000, it moves faster the more times I click the fast forward button, just like I would expect. 2x, 3x, 4x, or something like that (I don't know the exact specs). But when I rewind, it moves backward at like 10 billion times speed, even with one click. In fact, the last time I tried to rewind, I reset halfway back through the 1 hr episode I was watching, before I could even press the play button to stop it. Impossibly fast. I'm using the factory default settings, as far as I know. Anyone know how I can tone down the overdrive on rewind?

I'd really like one that does pretty much everything because I have so many different components in my home theater. Suggestions? Will the One For All work?
